Intex Recreation Slide’N Fun Play Center, Age 6+ with Shelf Box from Amazon is your basic pool that is compact but can fit at least two people in it – it has to levels and a small slide – and since this one is inflatable it comes with a repair patch as well. You can stow it away in its shelf box when not in use. Good deal for $44.

The Banzai Typhoon Twist Water Slide is an altogether more elaborate affair with a big splash pool and a good sized curving slide. Good fun item that can keep kids busy for hours and big enough to let you cool off yourself if you fancy a soak. Currently available from Next Tag at the discount of 33%, down to $400 from $600.

The Double Canon blast Slide is another fun item – this one also has a nice long slide and climbing apparatus on the side to let kids get to the top and slide down again. It is puncture resistant and is made with heavy duty Dura-Tech construction for maximum durability. It also includes continuous airflow blower and looks like a good deal for $389.

For those of us who are lucky enough to have an actual real pool there are many options available for water slides that don’t include a splash pool, such as this Intex Water slide that can be situated in such a way as to abut the pool so that kids that slide off it directly into the pool. The slide has an inflatable seat on one side and climbing apparatus on the other for easy access to the top of the slide. Rather a good deal for 85 bucks I thought.

Smartbargains also have a discounts swimsuit section and I liked the look of the two piece suits featured there. This basic black bikini would be a good idea for those that will consent to be seen in a two piece.  Me, I’m like Oprah, I would not be seen dead in a bikini, a one piece works well for me. So this two piece, black number is $59.99 and is down from $138.00. Smart, uncomplicated design I thought.

If you are going to be in the pool and there are going to be kids around, it is an important thing to remember that they must also be entertained. For that I really liked the look of these swimming seat float sofas which are available here at a good discount; some of them for just some ten bucks or so! Now I love Shrek and I know most kids do too, so I thought this one would be great for $11.99 down from $16.79. Always make sure the kids are amused, they will be happy, less whiny and out of your hair as well!

Surprisingly, there is a specialized kind of roller skates for every kind of user. Broadly, there are either quad skates (i.e. having 4 wheels, one in each of the corners of the shoe) and inline skates (with wheels in a line across the middle of the shoe base). Each of these types has a multitude of varieties based on the usage. Surprisingly there are 4 different types of quad skates for speed skating, outdoor skating, artistic skating and derby skating. Not surprisingly ,there are 4 kinds of inline skates as well. You can have them specifically for racing, fitness skating, for performing stunts and tricks and those for playing roller hockey. Phew!!

That’s quite a lot of options. Now before I can find something for her at a great price, I am going to have to go back to my niece and find out what she has in mind for her skating adventures. Will post soon about the cheap roller skates available out there when I know which kind she desires.
