I have done posts about designer look-alikes before and about websites where you can get products that look like the original but are available at a fraction of the price of the original because they are imitations. Many of us however do still hanker after the original when it comes to items such as watches, jewelry and accessories. And for those of us who are like that; for whom the brand is all, there is bidz.com, which is a brand name and jewelry auction, which claims to offer authentic products such as jewelry, watches, sunglasses, and other accessories from luxury brands such as Faberge, Di Modolo, Gucci, Chanel, Carrera y Carrera, Valentino, Versace, and so on.

Now this Tonino Lamborghini watch (date watch with genuine diamonds) that retails about two thousand three hundred and sixty bucks, got auctioned off for just $202. Pretty good deal that, I thought.

Now jewelry is not something that you and I buy routinely or casually, usually it is a rare buy for a special occasion or a special gift for a special someone. Certainly an excellent gift if that special someone is a woman! After all jewelry (not just diamonds) are supposed to be a girl’s best friend. If for instance a very good friend or close relative is getting married, or expecting a child or turning 25 or whatever, it behooves one to make a pretty substantial gift on the occasion.

Silver earrings or a silver ring would be a very appropriate for someone turning 25 (silver jubilee, 25 years get it?). Overstock has some beautiful designs on sale here, and I loved this Silver Filigree ring at 52% off for $23.99. The sales page has plenty of really pretty designs of rings, earrings, pendants, bangles, bracelets etc. Really worth a look see.

While shopping for Christmas, I chanced upon Overstock Jeweler

They have a great collection of inspired jewelry. Inspired from top brands like tiffany, Bvlgari, Cartier, Chanel, Chopard and even Heidi Klum amongst others. The prices are approximately a third of the originals. So now you can wear the latest designer pieces without spending a fortune.

Their collection of designer inspired watches was not very impresive. Mostly because even though they imitate the design, the brand name is different.
