If anyone says they don’t like a good massage they are either lying or they have never had a proper massage and don’t know what they’ve been missing.  One of the things that have sailed onto my wish list horizon in recent times is a massage chair or other massage gadget that will give me all the TLC when my significant other seems in no mood to offer it. Massage is supposed to aid relaxation, reduce mental stress and physical tension and even help in reducing minor aches and pains.

Now ever since I saw and experienced one of these at some mall somewhere, it have coveted them and wanted them and desired what they could do for a pair of aching and suffering feet. It is a calf and foot massager that I speak so covetously of. Now this one massages your calves and feet, squeezing and vibrating like a pair of loving hands and feels wonderful! I can vouch for this. The intensity and the speed of the massage can be varied as one wants. I found that the foot and calf massager was cheapest on Amazon, where it was down from the list price of 300 dollars to just $163. A 46% discount always sounds good to me!

I have always loved swimming as an activity and a wonderfully non-sweaty way to exercise. But one of the serious limitations of swimming is and has always been the fact that I cannot listen to music while swimming (after 25 laps I am bored not tired). However I decided to find out about waterproof music players and water proof earphones so I can listen to music while swimming. And I also thought of something else I can do with such a water proof music system – I can sit out in the rain or go for a bike ride in the rain and listen to music at the same time! And who knows I may just decide to go deep sea diving!

This waterproof MP3 player I found is on sale at a 25% discount. Down from $80 it is now available for just 60 dollars. It fastens to a belt or a buckle with the help of its clip and the twist and lock earphones jack seals out water completely.  With a 6 to 8 hour play time, and weight of less than an ounce, this one has a visible multi colored LED mode control, which makes it a fairly desirable gadget in my view. Every now and again, I feel the need to indulge myself and by that I mean indulge my sense of smell. Beautiful smells are something that can transform the ordinary into the sublime and can really elevate one’s state of mind. I do think that smell is so very evocative – helping us recall events, persons, places, dates etc with startling clarity and delighting us anew.

I have some favorite fragrances but this doesn’t mean that I am reluctant to splash out on something new (literally and figuratively).

I was recently introduced to a classic fragrance by a friend, Anais Anais by Cacharel. I tried it on for a day and smelled wonderful the entire day (remember to try out a perfume on your own skin – it can smell so different on someone else) and was convinced that I had to get it for myself. This is a day time perfume with a blend of cedar, leather, gardenia, jasmine and lily of the valley. I found the perfume cheaper here even than Amazon. So this then is going to be one of my indulgences in the near future.

There are people who leave their all to their pets – their pets were the thing they loved most and possibly they were the people that their pets loved most in the world – unstinting, unconditional and unreserved love the variety of which it is difficult to find in human relationships. So certainly there is a reason why pets can be very, very dear to a person, particularly if they don’t have any nice relatives.

But it always occurred to me; what is a pet to do with all that money and so I am constrained to ask the owner – WHAT were you thinking!

There are different estimates about who is the richest pet in the world and a latest report published about the richest pets in the world spoke of a German Shepherd, called Gunther IV who inherited $372 million, from his father Gunther III, who made it rich after his owner Countess Karlotta Libenstein of Germany passed away.
