The cold mountain air, the crisp crunch of white under your feet, skiing is an experience bar none! So I heard. Thing is I have never gone skiing and they tell me I don’t know what I have missed. So I have decided that I will now personally find out what the oohing and aahing is all about – I am going skiing! That brings me to my first love; shopping, this time it’s shopping for skis and ski equipment and accessories.

Ski Essentials is another site I visited – not only do they have any number of ski related products – skis, poles, bags, shoes, helmets, goggles, gloves / mitts, skiing apparel, and other skiing accessories, they also have packages put together for men, women and juniors. This women’s ski package consists of skis and bindings, boots and ski poles so that you are fully kitted out to hit the slopes. This one is available at a 50% discount, down from $1004 to $499. Similarly the fun looking kiddies package of ski equipment including the skis, ski boots and ski poles is down from $524 to $299.
When it comes to clothing for skiing, you don’t really have to invest in special skiing gear, particularly if you are a beginner and want to see if you can even stay upright wearing skis before you go and make huge sartorial investments. Walmart and Target will help get you kitted out properly – think warm turtle necks and sweaters, thick fleece or quilted jackets, long thermals as underwear – these are the basics that you may even have in your wardrobe, requiring no actual purchases.
