Now may I clarify right away that this is not for me, it is a friend for whom I was doing the hunting and the research for plus size wedding gowns and here is what I came up with. I found some beautiful outfits, some not too traditional and many that you can wear even after the big day so I decided to do a post about it!
This Charmeuse Rhinestones, Crystal Beading Semi-Cathedral Train Dress available in White or Ivory Beading available in Cherry, Clover,Sapphire, White or Ivory Sizes is a very flattering cut and style for a plus sized girl I thought and though traditional I just liked it a lot. You can call a number given at the page to call up for a discount.
This one is rather nontraditional, being a Mahalo Beach dress in a flatteringly cut neckline and the sort of sheath drape that can look good for most body types. My friend is giving a thought to a beach wedding which is why I thought that this one would be a great idea. And at $199, I thought to myself, not bad!
Something like this elegant two piece wedding gown is appropriate even for the more demure of us. Its simple A-line spaghetti strap underskirt is made from matte duchess satin. The classic jacket is made from soft English net adorned with cotton Venice lace and hand sewn seed pearls. The jacket also features a semi-chapel train. Colors available are Champagne, Ivory or White. At 299 dollars I again thought, not too bad!
This short wedding dress is a beautiful one I thought; traditional white but at the same time something can be worn elsewhere as well. Strapless with a close fitting waist, this one has crystal beading, sequins and pearls throughout the gown and an asymmetrical hemline. Also I found the price fairly tempting at $227.
I do wonder what my friend will finally settle on, but as friend, philosopher and guide I did think it my duty to do some of the spade work for her; I hope I did for someone else as well.
