Derek and I have been talking about gift ideas and a potential blogging contest for a gift store owned by a friend of mine. This online store that sells all kinds of gifts that can be engraved. He started out selling Groomsmen gifts so he has a lot of that kind of thing but he has expanded into all kinds of things - so many, in fact, that I am developing a Gift Ideas blog and added the post I've linked in here so people can tell what he has. He has some very unusual gifts and being able to engrave initials or a personal message is a plus in my book. One that Derek and I mentioned to each other is a custom vintage pub sign with your name or business name and whatever you're into (fishing, golf, car racing, lots more). I wish I had that new site up further so I can add links to MLDina's idea and get more traffic to them. (I can add the links - just haven't developed any major traffic from there yet.) In the meantime, let me know if you might be interested in receiving a free gift and a gift certificate you can use yourself or to promote your blog to help promote my friend's gift site. When I was shopping for presents last year, I came across sites where you can purchase experiences like skydiving or hot air ballooning (xperiencedays.com and cloud9living.com). I thought that was pretty original, and it's an experience you can have with a friend or significant other. Let us know what you decide to get for the anniversary. Maybe you can have some guest posters on the blog about topics your significant other enjoys? I love coming up with unique gift ideas.
