Home Decor (Part II)
A while back, I did a post about home decorating that seemed to be pretty popular and elicited quite a bit of comment and appreciation. So I thought that one more post on the subject would not be taken amiss, especially since I am helping out my mother with some additions/alterations to her house and am looking to do the research myself.
The color, material and texture of the cloth or upholstery that you use for your bath or bed linen and curtains is as important as the stuff we discussed earlier (lamps, rugs, decorative items etc). This site simply called the textileshop.com is a one stop shop for all your bed and bath linen requirements. Velvet window treatments here start at $8.49 (down from $16.99). Bath linen here start at under $1 for this Ravello Jaquard Bath towel. You can get a three piece embroidered bath set for $2.99.
Pillows or cushion covers can really brighten up a living room area and I liked their faux suede pillows at $2.49. Bed linen such as these printed flannel sheet sets start at $7.49.
The bed and bath outlet has some nice stuff; I liked this Banff Bedroom Ensemble which starts at $109.99 and which has many elements such as sheets, comforters, bed skirts, pillows, window treatments which you can pick as choose as per your requirements.
I just loved this quilt which is available at Bella Home Fashions for $79.99 at a 60% discount and I also liked this French style quilted throw for $44. Another item I loved at this site is this beautiful American style quilt for $109 also at a very substantial 61% discount.
This site offers, among other things, branded items such as Liz Clairborne etc. I checked out their Clearance section where a saw some good deals and I also liked this comforter, bed skirt and sham set from Liz Clairborne for $149.
Well I am off now; looking at all these super comfy beds has made me quite sleepy!

Home decorating can be fun and rewarding. We spend a lot of time in our homes. Making it as appealing as possible goes a long way!

Nice tips especially for someone who is decorating on a budget but would still love to make home as appealing and presentable as possible.

We have to work on our flooring first before we move on to any new decor, but I admit to really liking those faux sued pillows. They may allow us to stretch the use of our couch a longer until we can afford a new one. Some new pillows will spruce it up enough. I hope.
