Lighting Up The House
My mom’s house needed some revamping and sprucing up. So I offered to help her out with it. We decided to start with getting a smart rug and changing some of the lamps and light fixtures. We picked up some of the ideas from my Home Decorating post. We got the rug that I featured in that post. Some good lamps and lights were next on the list. Since we needed a couple for each room, I decided to look it up deeper.
I found this site for all kinds of lighting solutions. They had an impressive collection of indoor lighting. I started looking around for what would fit perfectly into the home. Their products are well categorized making it very simple to find what you are looking for.

I thought this in-line chandelier would work well in the kitchen. I really liked this one too for its different style and concept. It would look good over the dining table I think. It has a wooden base with a glass table top.
This green pendant lamp looks really different too and is very evenly priced at $103. It will go great in my mom’s bedroom with its white walls and steel and wood furniture.
I really liked this at your service lamp too, not decided a place for it though. It’s really cute and we’ll sure find a place for it somewhere prominent. There is a section of hand made lighting too. I did not have the need presently, but for those who do, their collection of outdoor lighting is worth a visit too.
I must say, I have spent an hour surfing through and haven’t been through even 15% of what this site has to offer. They have such a huge variety of all kinds of lamps and lighting fixtures, one need not look elsewhere. There is something out there for everybody. They have a mix of expensive premium stuff and inexpensive stuff. You will need to surf through and find something you love and can afford.
As for me, I am going to catch hold of my Mom and surf the site with her. Let’s see how she likes my choice.

Lighting is one of the things in our house we just haven’t gotten around to updating. I like the in-line and the manor chandelier you’ve listed. The manor one would go nice in our front hall way. You’ve got me thinking now . . .

Light in the house is really crucial both for design and an overall appeal of the house. Apart from lamps you mentioned in your post(those really look interesting must say, good idea might be using candles for special occasions. Soft light you get from them coupled with pleasant scents(some scented candles are really remarkable when it comes to that) can often add that extra something needed whether it’s romantic dinner or you simply want to relax after a long and hard day.

Ok, I don’t even know where I am any longer, I’m just having fun following all of your links in your posts!
I have to say…..I never knew that “cabin and lodge style lighting” even existed! And I am not as fond of contemporary design as my husband is, and yet, contemporary lighting is my favorite. I know, it makes no sense. I just like the clean, simple lines.

Those are some gorgeous lights. We have something very similar to the in-line chandelier already, but I really like the design of the “at your service” lamp – might have to be a purchase!
