Father’s Day Gift Ideas
I know I kind of missed Mother’s Day decided to surprise Mom with a belated Mother’s day gift, but with Father’s day I am going to be in time and on the ball! Father’s day is still a while away, (15 June to be exact) and there is plenty of time to browse and surf and decide on a good idea.
More than specific gifts I decided to put together some lists and ideas for gifts for fathers’ Day which I thought everyone may find useful. Treehugger put together an excellent list for fathers’ day gifts, an eclectic mix of the typical and atypical (seeing Treehugger’s predication to all things green at all times). They included interesting ideas such as folding bicycle, multi gadget solar charger, organic whiskey etc.
Ask Men’s list for father’s day is somewhat more conventional and includes all time favorites such as a Swiss Army Knife, fishing gear, golfing gear, wallet, sport event tickets and some metrosexual ideas like a grooming kit and a skin and hair care kit. If all that does not work, the people at askmen.com urge you to go get your dad drunk! Apparently that is a winning gambit!
Then of course there are a lot of DIY ideas around the net, of which I liked this bunch of ideas put together here, which are especially useful if you have small children whom you can involve in the making of a frugal and inexpensive gifts, which a father would nevertheless cherish!
My publisher.com is a site that lets you create your own photo books and then prints and binds them for you starting at $12.95. Their Fathers’ day offer includes a buy one get one free offer.
Present Picker.com has a comprehensive and well categorized list of gifts for fathers’ day. It includes the classics like fishing related ideas, auto related gifts, science and computer related gifts. Then they have the nostalgia related gift ideas, that have to do with transport related gifts, and historical as well as military related gifts. They also have a section related to whatever personal requireme
nts that you think a dad may have such as gadgets, clothing and food.
And just one last idea for a good carnivorous, beer guzzling dad: a beef jerky bouquet! Not quite your common or garden variety of floral bouquet, but a beer mug filled with beef jerky! Here’s one for a way to the heart thru the stomach! Cheers All!

my dad has always been a big fan of the latest LED flashlights… or anything related to camping o_o
