Home Decorating? Here are some Ideas
I love my home. This is because I decorated it myself and it reflects my likes and what I find comforting and inviting. I surround myself in colors of my choice; earth tones like russet, maroon, beige, dark green etc. If you have children in the house it is a good idea to decorate in darker colors, wear and tear shows up less and dirt shows up much less so you need to do less washing and cleaning.
There are several additions you can make to your home to make it appear warm and inviting and homey; wall decorations, throws, bright cushions, area rugs and spotlight lamps. These items add focus and definition to different areas of your house. For instance putting a mirror with an interesting frame or hanging a colorful rug on the wall adds character to a wall. This gold moon wall mirror (for $13.30) can act as a bit of a conversation starter.
You can add some intriguing pieces of furniture to a corner to brighten it and make it more attractive. I liked this round table clock top for a discounted price of $72.96. It is unusual and innovative and serves two functions. I also liked this magazine rack cum table for $72.96.
Sometimes a suitable rug can beautifully set off an entire room. I have a similar rug, around which I created and coordinated the entire living room area. I love this colorful and attractive rug at $110 for a 2′11″x7′6″ size going up to $ 650 for a 9′10″x13′1″ size. Home décor center has some very attractive rugs here at attractive prices too.
Candles can add a wonderfully intimate and warm glow to a room, so it is a good idea to invest in good candle holders, either table top or wall mounted. I liked this wrought iron pair for just $8.38.
Lamps are a great way to add focus to any nook of a room, whether they are floor lamps or table lamps. Lamps USA has some very nice matching sets of lamps at discounted prices. This pair at $79.99, I really liked. I also liked this tall and elegant floor lamp for $89 at one way furniture.com.
When I see attractive and beautiful things like this I have an urge to redecorate, alas for my poor significant other!
I adore such “patched” rugs, but it is very difficult to find them in good color combination. The one you have here (on the photo) is just beautiful!

The picture is really good…as said by Polina its very difficult to find nice color combination.
That clock table is pretty cool. My wife seems to have an addiction for buying clocks. I’ll have to show her this one.

home decoration is obviously one of the main addiction for housewifes. lol. before decorating a house one must twice or maybe thrice before a purchase. sometimes it becomes a headache. nice article and i think the burden for choosing may be less now. keep the good work

I do like the clock table like the guy a few comments before mine but I have to tell you that the lamps with the weird base are my favorite. I love the topic and am all about designing on a dime budget.

I love decorating our home and honestly I really like the colorful and attractive rug. it matches our carpet.
