I love my home. This is because I decorated it myself and it reflects my likes and what I find comforting and inviting. I surround myself in colors of my choice; earth tones like russet, maroon, beige, dark green etc. If you have children in the house it is a good idea to decorate in darker colors, wear and tear shows up less and dirt shows up much less so you need to do less washing and cleaning.
There are several additions you can make to your home to make it appear warm and inviting and homey; wall decorations, throws, bright cushions, area rugs and spotlight lamps. These items add focus and definition to different areas of your house. For instance putting a mirror with an interesting frame or hanging a colorful rug on the wall adds character to a wall.
