Half Century Milestone

Hey guys, this is my 50th post. It has been a long journey - time consuming but fun. I have made a lot more acquaintances and interacted with some very interesting people.
In the last six months, the blog has grown tremendously. Following are some stats at the time of writing this post:
Technorati rank: 199,227
Google Backlinks: 481
Yahoo Backlinks: 34465
Google PR: 3
Over 5000 unique visitors in May till date.
What do you guys think? How are these stats for a 6 month and 50 post old blog? What other stats would you like to see? Do let me know your thoughts. Thanks for all the love and support.

I think those are excellent stats myself - especially the page rank and the yahoo backlinks. I do think, however, that a lot of people mislead themselves and don’t count how much time they spend LEARNING all the stuff. That is also half the battle. But those stats do seem really great!

Thanks a lot Eric and TruckerTom. I haven’t done much apart from trying to write interesting posts and interacting with other bloggers on their blogs. I have learned whatever I know in the course of maintaining this blog. I read a lot of other blogs too. Thanks again.

Only 6 months old . . . wow! I just assumed, that this blog had been around for longer, but never checked the exact dates. I’d say your stats, are pretty darn good. I have a blog that’s much older, that gets no where near that many visitors. I haven’t done much with it till lately, but it’s encouraging hearing how successful you’ve been. Way ta go!

Yay! You’ve been doing quite good huh with only a 6 months blog. Bragger! =P Once the ball starts rolling I think it’ll be easier for it to be more popular. Kudos.

Nice blog and nice statistics for only 50 posts and 6 months. Just keep writing. See what posts generated the most comments and write about those subjects. Tighten (or broaden) your niche.
Your readers are already telling you what they want. My latest article is about JavaScript. No one commented. An article or two back I had some advice to increase traffic. It generated many comments.
That’s the indicator of your posts quality and reader’s niche and target.

Thanks a lot everyone. I guess my blog is doing better than I thought. Had no idea these stats were that impressive. I am gonna try my best to keep up the posts quality. As for the impending money mentioned by some of you, some extra cash for shopping is always welcome.

How many subscribers do you have and are you making much money from it?
Over 5000 visitors a month is amazing and in such a short space of time is great!
